Half Moon Lake

I just got home from a week long camping vacation with my family.  My Dad's family has been making the pilgrimage to Pinedale Wyoming for well over 50 years to camp, fish, hike, and spend time together.  The tradition is alive and well.  The trip was a little different for me this year.  Being 31 weeks pregnant changed the majority of my activities.  I love to wake-board, water ski, and ride ORVs but I love my baby girl more so the two of us took it easy.  I did a lot of sitting around on the beach, visiting with family, reading, walking, and swimming in the chilly water.
My reading included Man's Search for meaning by Viktor Frankl and I started reading The Pearl by John Steinbeck.  I totally love Man's Search for meaning and recommend that it be read by everyone over the age of 14 or so with a highlighter in hand.  I am still not very far into The Pearl yet but it shows promise.
The best way to describe the joy of Half Moon Lake and all of it's adventures is by pictures so here they are.

Grandma and Grandpa Kirton.  Grandpa K started this trip over 50 years ago when he started going to Pinedale to fish with friends.

Look closely and you can see my near 80 year old grandma in the middle.  She has spirit.

Oh and they even took a flip.  (Just kidding, younger folk were riding by this time.)

For whatever reason, they think they are cool.

Ellie and Brooke braving the cold water.

I usually have more pictures but I guess my less adventures lifestyle makes for less picture opportunities.  Over all, the trip was a success.  It's funny to my how quickly the years are starting to go by.  It wont be long and we will be back there again (and I'll have a 9 month old babe, crazy!).
