My Little Honey Bunny, Extra Honey

Nora got these pictures taken when she was 2 weeks and 2 days old.  She was very good for her photo shoot right up until the end.  Taking her picture was a lot of fun and I love how they turned out.  She has been a good babe.  She eats well and is putting on weight like a champ.  She does have her days and nights mixed up but thanks to The Office (the TV show) its ok with me that we are wide awake till 2:30 AM.  Also, much thanks to my mommy for taking Nora for a few hours while I sleep!

Her daddy is in North Carolina for Army business for as long as 3 weeks but we are both hoping he will come home sooner than that.  I'm absolutely positive he is missing Nora more than words can even describe.  We are sure missing him and all of his help.  Come home now Daddy!!!

Baby Shower Fun

Last week I had two baby showers thrown for me!  The first was in Ephraim, given by my in-laws.  The second was in Riverton, put on by my mom and sisters.  Every day that goes by gets me closer and closer to labor and delivery and having baby showers and a room full of new gear is incredibly exciting for me.  Unfortunately, I don't have a ton of pictures from either shower, but I'll work with what I've got.

Shower #1:

My sister-in-law made this monkey on a diaper motorcycle for me.  It's super cute and handy because it's built with very necessary supplies for baby girl.  Awesome idea!

The decor was "rain shower" themed and rather fantastic.

Shower #2:

I really don't like pictures of myself right now, surprised?  I don't mind my belly or the extra weight that gets to come on everywhere else.  However, I don't hardly recognize my face and it drives me nuts!  Oh, well.

My mom gave me these two outfits.  I'm pretty sure Baby Girl is going to be wearing the smaller pink one to get her first pictures taken!

Diaper Trike from my aunt, can't have too many diapers!

My sister Kamie put this together for me (as well as many other gifts).  It's not hard to see that I got totally spoiled.

I am so lucky and grateful to have such a great family that loves and supports me.  I honestly don't know what I would do without them.  Thanks everyone!

That's My Girl

This is from my 22 week ultrasound.  The ultrasound tech was new with the particular machine and baby girl was not helping by holding still so the pictures we got to bring home were slightly disappointing.  This one is the best by far.  I have an active and rambunctiousness babe.  The baby still looks like she is a she and the doctor told me that all of the baby's anatomy looks normal.
I did go to water aerobics last week and it was awesome!  It felt so good once I got over feeling like a fool.  Everyone, especially pregos, should go to water aerobics.  Leave your pride at the door and jump on in.  For the whole rest of the day I had very little if any body aches and I had so much more energy.  Totally worth my 3 dollars and 1 hour.

I am having a baby girl!

I really want to have a baby girl.  However, ever since I found out that I was pregnant I was nearly sure that my baby was going to be a boy.  The Chinese gender chart said boy, everyone in my family has had a boy first, I haven't been sick at all, the niece and nephew count is 2 boys and 6 girls so for my side of the family it was just time for a boy.
I had an ultrasound on May 7th and to my surprise my baby is a girl!

No Mega Millions, Another Kind of Jackpot.....

and the winning numbers are......
4  2  23  38  46 Mega-ball: 23
As you can see if you check out my last post I wasn't even close.  I'm super glad I didn't drive to Idaho and waist my 5 bucks.

What Jackpot did I hit?  Well I found out way back at the end of January that I am pregnant!  I'm going to be a mommy in October! 10/11/12 (check out those winning numbers) to be quite exact, unless the babe is early which I am expecting for some reasons that aren't worth typing out here.  Just know that I called it if the baby decides to make her or his debut into the world early.  Everything up to this point in my pregnancy has been great.  I was a tad sick and tired for a few weeks but I never came close to vomiting, I am calling myself very lucky for this (Keep you monetary jackpot mega-millions!).  Physically I feel great.  I should say that I have lost my brain.  I have been doing the silliest things and I can't speak.  Thinking of the write words to say is really a chore.  Hope I start thinking more clearly for finals in 2 weeks and more permanently when the babe comes.

Because a babe is hard to top, less exciting news in our home:
Dave has just been working and fitting his recreation in whenever possible.  I have started an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician class!  I took a EMT-B class while I was in high school and it's going to expire this summer so I was just going to re-certify but advancing turned out to be the better option.  I have really been enjoying my class and I think that I owe it to myself to at least try to actually work as an EMT this time around to see if I like that as much as I enjoy learning about it.

Oh Yeah, Dave bought some ducks.....They are big now but look how happy he is when they are still small.
