Shhhhh.... Cecret Lake

Actually, there is no secret about Cecret Lake, it's a rather popular hike and destination.  It is a lot of fun and quite beautiful.  I have been trying to take my prego exercising more seriously and Dave needed a break form the city to quote, "save his soul" so we drove up Little Cottonwood Canyon and set out on a little  nature walk/ hike.  I will admit the hike there was harder for me than I expected it to be but that is alright with me.  I just move a lot slower.  Once we were there it was worth it.

No, my butt is not on the ground.

Where is Dave.....?

Oh, there is the baby bump!

Doughnut Falls

David and I needed something to do this past Friday he wanted to go to a movie.... boring.  I think that I had a much better (and less costly) idea, a nature walk to Doughnut falls.  Nine miles up big cottonwood Canyon turn right and if the gates open drive another mile or get out and walk the mile to the trail head (we had to walk but it was just fine with me).  The weather was wonderful and it felt so good to get out.  This is a very popular trail so if your looking for some alone time in the wilderness this is less recommended.

We took a picture that was supposed to show of my babe bump but the snow in the background made it so you couldn't see it at all.

I love this picture!

I fell in the snow and Dave got a picture of it.

I almost fell in the water too.

We found a friend....

Very Short and Sweet Hiking Adventure

Dave has been working a ton and I have been sitting around a ton!  We both needed to get out a few days ago so we decided to take a mini hike (I usually call them nature walks) up Bell Canyon.  The weather was great and it was so nice to get some fresh air.

We were planning on going higher up the canyon but when we got to the little  reservoir and it was frozen over enough for playing around we spent the rest of the day light there.  We went skating (or slipping) and threw big rocks at the less frozen parts of the lake so that they would break through the ice.

What would we do without the picture timer function on our camera?

These pictures make the adventure look cold but it was a really nice day.  The fresh air was fantastic.  We need to get out on little hikes like this one more often!
